ok ok, so this all happened about a month ago but still who would have guessed in omaha. the one time living next to the qwest center has come in handy. who would have guessed that a basketball stadium could be turned into such an amazing swimming venue. needless to say i visited the trials a couple of times before they were over. anyone who has ever swam competitively knows the art of deck changing very well, but changing on a deck of a swimming pool in front of a hundred or so people no big deal, but there was one guy there who didn't shy away from doing it in front of 13,000 people, i guess he didn't want to miss out on anything. the only thing that could have made this a better experience is if i hadn't been such a slacker growing up and had been able to swim.
